Day 1: Arrival in Jackson Hole, WY

  • Morning:

    • Arrive at Jackson Hole Airport (JAC).

    • Pick up your rental car.

    • Check into your accommodations in Jackson Hole (e.g., boutique hotels like Hotel Jackson or cozy lodges like Rustic Inn).

  • Afternoon:

    • Explore Jackson Town Square: Stroll through charming shops, art galleries, and enjoy the iconic antler arches.

    • Have lunch at Café Genevieve or The Bunnery.

  • Evening:

    • Enjoy dinner at Snake River Grill or Gather.

    • If time allows, visit the Jackson Hole Rodeo (seasonal) or enjoy a sunset drive to the nearby Elk Refuge.

Day 2: Grand Teton National Park

  • Morning:

    • Head to Grand Teton National Park.

    • Start with a sunrise stop at Schwabacher’s Landing for stunning views of the Tetons reflected in the water.

    • Hike: Choose an easy trail like Taggart Lake (3 miles round trip) or a moderate one like Cascade Canyon.

  • Afternoon:

    • Picnic lunch in the park or grab food at Dornan’s in Moose.

    • Visit Jenny Lake: Take the shuttle boat across and hike to Inspiration Point or Hidden Falls.

  • Evening:

    • Return to Jackson.

    • Optional: Relax at Granite Hot Springs.

    • Dinner at Local or The Gun Barrel Steak & Game House.

Day 3: Drive to Yellowstone (South Entrance)

  • Morning:

    • Depart early for Yellowstone (1.5 hours to the South Entrance).

    • Stop at West Thumb Geyser Basin en route.

  • Afternoon:

    • Visit Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin. Watch an eruption and explore the nearby geothermal features.

    • Continue north to Grand Prismatic Spring at Midway Geyser Basin.

  • Evening:

    • Overnight stay in West Yellowstone (outside the park) or in one of the park lodges (e.g., Canyon Lodge).

    • Dinner at Wild West Pizzeria & Saloon (West Yellowstone).

Day 4: Explore Yellowstone

  • Morning:

    • Drive to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Stop at Artist Point for breathtaking views.

    • Continue to Hayden Valley for potential wildlife spotting (bison, elk, and maybe bears).

  • Afternoon:

    • Head to Mammoth Hot Springs. Walk the boardwalks around the terraced formations.

    • Optional: Drive to Lamar Valley for prime wildlife viewing.

  • Evening:

    • Overnight near the North Entrance (Gardiner, MT) or continue driving toward your route to Whitefish.

Day 5: Drive to Whitefish, MT

  • Morning:

    • Begin your scenic drive to Whitefish (approx. 6 hours). Pass through Bozeman or Missoula for a lunch break.

    • Option: Stop at Flathead Lake for a relaxing view or short detour.
