LISA & BERLEY

Our love story began on September 4, 2021, when we both swiped right while Lisa was on a solo road trip across the US. She was about to spend two weeks in Flathead County and needed a hiking partner because of her fears of the legendary Grizzlies in Glacier National Park. Over the next two weeks, we spent nearly every day together—hiking the trails, exploring the beauty of the valley, and laughing under the big Montana sky. Lisa’s worry about bears melted away, thanks to Berley’s calm presence, shared sense of adventure, and of course, his love of guns.

 

Berley loved our time together so much that he decided to join Lisa for a few more stops along her trip. Six weeks later, with some gentle persuasion from Berley, Lisa decided to give Whitefish a shot for the ski season—an opportunity to explore more of the area and see where our budding relationship could go. It wasn't long before Lisa fell in love with life in Whitefish and the adventurous Australian she met just a few months before. Over the next 2.5 years, our life together flourished, filled with adventures, hikes, many nights celebrating Taco Tuesday, and the joy of building a community of friends in Whitefish.

 

On February 15, 2024, as we walked into our newly purchased home for the first time, Berley proposed to Lisa, with just the two of us and our dog, Winston, in the quiet moment. It was a perfect proposal, marking the beginning of our future together—one filled with more love, laughter, and shared adventures.
